Abstract
Background: Retinoids have been proposed as chemopreventive agents in skin cancer. Prior studies suggest protective effects, but findings have been mixed and may differ by retinoid type. This study evaluated the association between retinoid exposure and risk of melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancers (NMSC), assessing specific agents.
