Microstructure and residual stresses in FGMs

Abstract
ln this work we present preliminary results on the development of residual stresses due to differential thermal expansion and unloading from hydrostatic pressure that typically occur during the powder metallurgical processing of FGMs. Attention is focused in microstructures where the fractions of the two phases are equal.
