Abstract

Carcinoid tumorlets CT scan Pulmonary nodules Refractory cough Video assisted thoracoscopic lung biopsy
A 65-year-old woman presented with chronic refractory cough. There was no response to unusual antitussives, asthma medications, or anti-reflux therapy. Chest X-ray was nonspecific but CT chest demonstrated multiple nodules of varying size. Bronchoscopy was unrevealing. Surgical lung biopsy confirmed a diagnosis of multiple carcinoid tumors. The patient was lost to follow-up after an oncologic consultation.
