A Minimax Performance Measure for Computed Tomography
Mathematical Aspects of Computerized Tomography, pp 179-188
1981
Abstract
An error measure for computed tomography is proposed which accounts for both random and systematic errors. System performance is evaluated by maximizing the error over the set of possible signals, and optimal system performance is the value of a minimax problem. Simple upper and lower bounds are derived, and the techniques are applied to the problem of optimal reconstruction from a limited range of angles.
