Abstract
Chemotherapy remains the mainstay of cancer treatment. As the incidence of cancer rises with the aging of the general population and as scientific research results in new treatments for malignancies, emergency physicians will be confronted with a multitude of complications that chemotherapy regimens can cause in this patient population. This chapter discusses the emergency department (ED) evaluation and management of cancer patients who present with complications related to chemotherapy.
