Abstract

Catheter-based pulmonary angiography Chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension Computed tomography angiography Lung scintigraphy
The importance of establishing the diagnosis of chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH) centers on the observation that with a thromboendarterectomy, this pulmonary vascular disease is potentially curable. As a result, a careful assessment of patients at-risk for or suspected of having CTEPH is essential, and this case presentation illustrates an appropriate approach for such an evaluation.
