Abstract
COVID-19 was officially declared a global pandemic on March 11, 2020. Its devastating impact on individuals and the global healthcare system quickly became an area of international interest and research. This book chapter specifically explores the current understanding of the impact of COVID-19 on pregnancy. A brief overview is provided, and the epidemiology, pathophysiology, and clinical presentation are reviewed. Considerations regarding diagnosis and management are discussed, as well as antenatal monitoring, treatment options, and considerations for delivery. Finally, the chapter reviews neonatal outcomes and current data and recommendations regarding vaccination.
