Abstract
Advances in technology have created new causes of voice disorders, as well as novel innovations to improve treatment of voice disorders. It is helpful to understand the principles and language of technology, including big data, data analytics, artificial intelligence/machine learning and deep learning, as well as how they have developed and been applied. Their influence has been profound in medicine in general, and in voice care specifically. This chapter provides a basic review of these technology topics, as well as a comprehensive overview of their impacts on voice and voice care.
