Dizziness

Robert Thayer Sataloff, Hye Rhee Chi and Pamela C. Roehm
Occupational Hearing Loss, pp 442-468
2025

Abstract

Dizziness can be caused not only by the inner ear but also by many other structures including the brain, neck, proprioceptive nerve endings in the feet, and ocular pathways. Detailed information and special tests are required to determine the cause of dizziness with accuracy. Some causes can be treated with medicine or surgery. Others are managed through physical therapy or other interventions.
