Abstract
Marginal kidneys, once discarded in the past as single transplants because of reduced function, can now be transplanted as dual transplant in single recipients to maximize the nephron mass and optimize function and survival. However, despite thirty years of experience, the operative techniques are still debated. We plan to review and discuss the operative techniques available to facilitate the surgical decision.
