Abstract
In the previous chapter the behaviour of ceramics on heating in oxygen and air was discussed. However, actual heat engine or heat exchanger environments often contain other oxidants apart from pure oxygen, such as chlorine and sulfur dioxide, as well as condensed phase deposits (Table 3.1).
