Business & management

Thanks to a lot of help from seven volunteers, organized labor has a rich resource below to study and act on. Both experienced webmasters and also union activists eager to launch their first Web site have much to learn from shared site reviews, a tool all too rare in labor circles (more on this in closing). In section 1, a brother of mine, G. Peter Shostak, shares insightful and frank thoughts about several representative sites. Although not a unionist himself, he brings a valuable objectivity, freshness, and sensitivity to the task of evaluating the sites much as a prospective member might do. (Note also that the first site he reviews is the creation of the author of Chapter 27.)
