Abstract
Frontal sinus malignancies are rare tumors that typically present at advanced stages with nonspecific signs and symptoms such as nasal obstruction, epistaxis, headache, facial pain, and hyposmia/anosmia. They are more common in men and tend to present in the seventh decade of life. The most common histologies are squamous cell carcinoma, diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, and adenocarcinoma. They are usually managed with surgical resection and postoperative radiotherapy. Traditionally, tumor resection has been performed via open methods. More recently, endoscopic endonasal techniques have been reported with some success in treating these malignancies. Despite these advances, prognosis remains poor.
