Measuring Gay and Lesbian Couples
Handbook of Measurement Issues in Family Research, pp 235-244
2007
Abstract
Intense public policy debates, coupled with the availability of data that allow researchers and others to better identify sexual minorities, have enhanced interest in social science research on gay men and lesbians. Policy debates regarding marriage rights, civil unions, domestic partnership, and adoption rights highlight the critical need for research that focuses specifically on gay and lesbian couples.
