RETINA: a Model of Visual Information Processing in the Retinal Neural Network

Abstract
In computer vision, there exist many problems of visual information representation and recognition that have not yet found their effective treatment (Faure A., 1985, Pugh A., 1983). The most of these problems are connected with bulky information processed in real time and with image distortion in the real world. It seems us that the second problem will be adequately treated on the base of the imitation of the biological visual perception mechanisms.
