Book chapter
Risk Factors and Intervention Outcomes
Juvenile Delinquency
01 Apr 2005
Abstract
This chapter identifies research in the targeted areas of prediction and intervention. It also specifies subpopulations within adolescent offenders and seeks to identify studies describing outcomes as narrow as offending and as broad as antisocial behavior. The chapter uses these distinctions to create a matrix that describes various areas of research on juvenile delinquency. Using this matrix, it then applies the tool of meta-analysis to describe cumulative trends of empirical research within these areas, populations, and outcomes.
