Abstract
Language program leadership is situated in the context of a globalized world and complex and rapidly changing educational environments. The context of language program leadership is described in relation to the spread of English, the increase in international exchange, the language program as a community of practice, the multiple functions of language programs, and the ecological model that is the center piece of this book.
