The audiogram

Abstract

An audiogram is a record that reflects a person's hearing level at various frequencies and intensities. Audiometric equipment needs to be calibrated, and testing needs to be performed by someone trained in the techniques required to obtain valid and reliable responses. If hearing levels are asymmetric, precautions need to be taken to be certain to avoid crossover artifact (getting results from the ear opposite the one being tested).
