Abstract
Chapter 17, the final chapter in the text, is a call to action. The challenges of the problems of practice faced by coaches every day are highlighted in this text. While research has expanded significantly, future studies must adopt a partnership approach whereby coaches and researchers co-construct applied methodologies that allow for meaningful results. The chapter summarizes a state of the field of coach development meant to drive the next generation of research in coaching and coach development.
