Abstract
Our goal is to use existing knowledge bases to automatically generate realistic cases of the appropriate level of difficulty based on a model of the user's current level of expertise. Such cases could be used for instructional purposes by a training module or for computer-based recertification exams by a quality assurance module. This paper describes our system for accomplishing this task in the domain of emergency center trauma care.
