Abstract
The baseball strike of 1994 was perhaps the most significant occurrence effecting in the 1990s sport industry. The strike marked the apex of nearly 30 years of discord between the baseball players union and club owners that had already motivated several previous work stoppages. The strike canceled the last one-third of the 1994 season. the entire postseason playoff tournament, and the 1994 World Series. Since 1995 MLB did not suffer another work stoppage until December 2021. However, a new collective bargaining agreement (CBA) was in place before the start of 2022 season. The story of baseball labor relations in the interim is the topic of this paper.
