What Treatments Are Available for Pediatric Recurrent Abdominal Pain and Which Ones Actually Work?
Curbside Consultation in Pediatric GI, pp 185-188
2013
Abstract
There is little evidence-based guidance for the treatment of functional gastrointestinal disorders (FGIDs) in children. Thus, therapy is driven by adult studies or anecdotal experience. Within the pediatric population, an evidence-based approach would suggest that the only effective therapies are cognitive behavioral therapy and placebo.
