Work-Family Balance: A Review and Extension of the Literature
Handbook of Occupational Health Psychology, pp 165-184
15 Aug 2010
Abstract
Research on the work–family interface has grown substantially over the past several decades (Barnett, 1998; Eby, Casper, Lockwood, Bordeaux, & Brinley, 2005; Edwards & Rothbard, 2000; Greenhaus & Powell, 2006), due in large part to the increasing representation of dual-earner partners and single parents in the workforce. The past several years since the publication of the first edition of the Handbook of Occupational Health Psychology have been no exception as research and interest in the work—family interface continue to proliferate.
