Abstract
That Richard Kostelanetz has not yet achieved an award as a man of "Differance* Letters" is due in part to his iconoclastic curmudgeonry, his outspoken scorn for the PCers and practitioners of post-structuralist "Frogthink." This book is a quirky, idiosyncratic compilation of extraordinary vigor, humor, and often brilliant, terse, no-nonsense, to-the-point analysis. For example, Kostelanetz defines: While Stuart Sherman (I cannot place his name in any context, either) is a seemingly legit avant-gardist of theater, performance, film, and the founder of The Quotidian Review (Aha, I've seen it - I think), he has no mention of Cindy Sherman, or even Sherrie Levine. On the other hand, there are entries on Alison Knowles of Fluxus fame and the conceptual artists, Roberta Allen.
