This book is written by Birger Hjorland. Associate Professor and the Head of the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences Information Studies at the Royal School of Librarianship in Copenhagen. In this book, Hjorland introduces a new approach to Information Science (IS) and explains the theoretical and prag matic sixnificance of this approach to some fundamental issues of IS. namely, information seeking and subject representation. This is a very interesting and thought-provoking book.
