Abstract
In reading the following review, it is important to consider the connections of each woman's narrative to the work we do as physical educators, exercise scientists, coaches, sport and exercise psychologists, and sport sociologists. When reflecting on the show on the train ride home from New York, I began to think about a session I attended at a recent Association for the Advancement of Applied Sport Psychology (AAASP) conference in which three women in the field, using an autoethnographic approach, discussed their personal body narratives (McGannon, Stephens, & Johnson, 2004).
