Abstract
This presentation concerns high performance phase modulated fiber-optic links for radar and communications applications. This new generation of fiberoptic links provide for a dynamic range in excess of -149 dB Hz 2/3 with an instantaneous bandwith of 1GHz or more. Employing quadratic phase modulators we perform efficient optical domain up and down-conversion of the microwave signals. Integrated optic implementation of the link provides for small size and low cost.
