Combination of primitive force-generating motor elements during reflex behaviors
Proceedings of 16th Annual International Conference of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society, v 1, pp 396-397
1994
Abstract
It is shown that vector summation of force-field primitives can occur during natural reflex behaviors in the spinal frog. This summation mechanism supports a number of ways of extending a small collection of primitives into a full repertoire of motor behaviors.< >
