08 Jul 1984
Abstract
Project Management is an increasingly popular approach for effecting change and accomplishing major undertakings. A successful decision support system for project management relies on forecasting techniques as the central theme for projecting completion time, cost and resource requirements. Computer-based decision support systems are used in the dynamic environment of project management to forecast potential problem areas and to offer possible corrective action(s). Emphasis is placed on the range of the critical variable(s) in project decision and on the vital human-machine partnership to ensure the successful completion of the project.
