Society for the Study of Social Problems
01 Jan 1988
Abstract
Futuristics is identified as a mix of moral philosophy, art form, & applied sociology, with a history that includes the writings of Auguste Comte & Saint Simon. Attention is paid to a broad array of uses made of futuristics in both the public & private sectors, & recommendations are offered for upgrading the applied sociology component. Colleagues are encouraged to draw more extensively on this rewarding art form.
