Abstract
Multi-beam phased array antennas are employed in wireless communications, where RF direct down-conversion, timing synchronization, and analog-to-digital are of important functions. Design of a novel all-optical ADC using spectral technique is presented, where sampling speeds as high as 40 GSPS with 6 bits of resolution is attainable.
