Numerical computation of the homogenized effective tissue scaffold property
Proceedings of the IEEE 31st Annual Northeast Bioengineering Conference, 2005
2005
Abstract
Ability to predict the effective mechanical properties of tissue scaffolds is very important for tissue engineering applications. Homogenization theory is one of the methods that enable the computational calculation of effective properties. This paper introduces the implemented homogenization program based on FEA-like method. The program also goes with flexible and visualized data input, and output The parametric studies based on it and corresponding conclusions drawn are described.
