Abstract

Organic compound treatment was considered in two non- equilibrium atmospheric pressure discharges: a preheated pulsed corona discharge with pulse duration of about 100 ns and total power of 10 to 300 W was arranged with possible preheating to temperatures from room to 1200 K. The gliding arc discharge was investigated with total power up to 10 kW. Plasma catalytic effect of chemical conversion of hydrocarbons at relatively low temperatures was experimentally observed.
