This dataset is part of the ESCALA (Study of Urban Health and Climate Change in Informal Settlements in Latin America) project that was funded by the Lacuna Fund of the Meridian Institute https://lacunafund.org/. This data contains Traffic Analysis Zone (TAZ) units for transportation planning models for Barranquilla, Colombia, 2009. The data were generated by Universidad del Norte in 2009 under a contract with the Metropolitan Area of Barranquilla and the District of Barranquilla for research on management and modeling of the transportation system and urban environment. The original polygons were not modified but redundant attributes (population density, commercial establishments density and intersection density) were not included.
