Abstract
This dataset is part of the ESCALA (Study of Urban Health and Climate Change in Informal Settlements in Latin America) project that was funded by the Lacuna Fund of the Meridian Institute https://lacunafund.org/.
This dataset contains the geograhpic layer of neighborhoods "Mapa de Barrios de Barranquilla Según el POT 2024" from the District of Barranquilla (Distrito Especial, Industrial y Portuario de Barranquilla) downloaded from https://www.datos.gov.co/Vivienda-Ciudad-y-Territorio/Mapa-de-Barrios-de-Barranquilla-Seg-n-el-POT/p57x-7s28. The geographic layer was derived from neighborhood data from the District of Barranquilla, available on the Colombian government's open data website. The data were not validated independently. All neighborhood polygons were dissolved into a single polygon which represents the urban perimeter. The following attributes were added to the urban perimeter layer: ID_URB, NAME.
