Abstract

This dataset supports the manuscript “The Building as a Thermal Exposure Modifier: Indoor Temperature and Humidity Across U.S. Residential Archetypes.” It documents 45 stock-representative residential archetypes derived from 400,574 ResStock records representing 101.07 million dwelling units, simulated in EnergyPlus 23.1.0 at 20 U.S. locations under four cooling scenarios (720 annual simulation cells). The archive comprises the archetype parameter matrix and stock-support table; the site roster and cooling-season definitions; executed EnergyPlus input files and generation code; weather-file provenance; annual and cooling-season per-cell metrics; the external-comparison record; figure source data; quality-control and provenance records; and analysis, verification, figure, and document-production code. Raw hourly EnergyPlus output is excluded because it is fully regenerable from the deposited inputs and recorded engine version. The archive contains no health records or identifiable participant data.
