Abstract
This dataset is part of the ESCALA (Study of Urban Health and Climate Change in Informal Settlements in Latin America) project that was funded by the Lacuna Fund of the Meridian Institute https://lacunafund.org/.
Respiratory disease cases in children less than 5 years old reported to surveillance systems. The data were downloaded from the national health database plattform (SIVIGILA). The downloaded data were not validated or verified independently. The original data had duplicate and incomplete records. Duplicate records were removed from the database. There were also records with age values outside of the valid range, those were removed. There were no data for Barranquilla for 2007 and 2008.
