Self-Reported Wellbeing in Barranquilla, Colombia, 2023
2025
Abstract
This dataset is part of the ESCALA (Study of Urban Health and Climate Change in Informal Settlements in Latin America) project that was funded by the Lacuna Fund of the Meridian Institute https://lacunafund.org/.
This data contains the percentage of surveyed people with a self-perceived excellent, moderate or poor health status by locality as reported in the survey, Barranquilla Cómo Vamos (https://barranquillacomovamos.org/). The data were downloaded from the Barranquilla Cómo Vamos website (https://barranquillacomovamos.org/). This is a citizen initiative that conducts periodical surveys on citizen perception on urban quality of life. The downloaded data were not validated or verified independently. Some surveyed people did not report their self-perceived health status. Original records did not have neighborhood information. Data about self-perceived wellbeing were filtered by locality and category (excellent, moderate, poor) to obtain the percentage of surveyed people in each category. There were no data about age or sex of surveyed people. There were no data for 2016 to 2022.
