Abstract
The college student population is projected to diversify significantly within the next five years, and by the year 2030, the percentage of MALANA students will surpass the percentage of White students. MALANA is an acronym used to encompass Multi-racial, African, Latin, Asian, and Native Americans. As the college student population continues to become more diverse, there is a need to have student affairs administrators who can bring a cultural perspective to institutional policies, procedures, and personnel. Prior research focuses primarily on students and faculty. However, this study seeks to bridge the gap in the existing literature by highlighting the experiences of student affairs administrators of color, who are essential to the future state of higher education, yet often overlooked.
