Pennsylvania has nearly 60,000 learners enrolled in cyber charter education. It has been suggested that among all children in the United States of America, 66% will have experienced trauma prior to the age of sixteen. While trauma-informed approaches are recommended as the best practice to interact with learners who have experienced trauma, research is primarily focused on traditional brick-and-mortar learning environments. Learners in the cyber environment can be difficult to engage, and the researcher explored the teachers' perspectives on how trauma impacts learners in the cyber setting.
