Abstract
The advent of virtual collaborations has introduced a new way of working in organizations that impacts how teams align with designed business strategies, which has a fundamental impact on how individuals, teams, and organizations adapt to the new working environment and manage virtual attributes so they work toward the same goals. The current study explores significant attributes of virtual collaboration that practitioners can manipulate to achieve more effective strategy alignment. Building a larger picture of how virtual collaboration impacts business strategy execution, this study looks at one significant step of aligning virtual teams to the business strategy from the perspective of four major attributes: knowledge transfer, shared goals and interdependencies, trust, and mutual benefits. Thus, the research evaluates how these four virtual collaboration attributes impact the alignment of virtual teams to the business strategy in a company.
