Abstract
The opioid crisis has been the focus of countless headlines, health initiatives, and heartbreaking stories of loss and addiction over the past several years. While many measures have been taken to address over-prescription and misuse, our recent research performed at the Rothman Opioid Foundation, with other Philadelphia area researchers, shines a light on an often-overlooked aspect of the epidemic: the risk of unused opioids post-surgery.
