Abstract
Paid family and medical leave promotes healthy workplaces and employees by providing economic support for working families when major health issues arise, and allows workers paid time to care for themselves and their infants after birth or adoption. Yet despite widespread voter support for the policy -- and more than six out of 10 Pennsylvania workers lacking paid leave -- Pennsylvania legislators are stalling in advancing a proposed paid family and medical leave bill.
