Abstract
Understanding stress and epilepsy are important because stress can influence seizure frequency and seizures can influence the amount of life stress a person experiences. This article reviews types of epilepsy, how stress influences the occurrence of seizures biologically, ways epilepsy increases life stress, and interventions that can help with stress.
