Abstract
The number of ways to watch television content is directly affecting the business model for TV broadband internet streaming devices. Streaming devices introduced to the market increases competition. This thesis will analyze if the capabilities of a streaming device directly affect how consumers value digital streaming platforms. This thesis focused on the design attributes of Roku, Chromecast, Amazon Fire, Xbox, Apple TV, Smart TVs and how their capabilities contribute to their success against competition in the market space. The ability for a consumer to choose the way they view content affects how U.S. consumers access their content and the devices upon which they view.
