Abstract
This research aimed to determine personalities of popular web design typefaces, and to what extent do the perceived personalities of typefaces in isolation align when used in a specific website context. Data collection was facilitated through surveys. Surveys were powered by Qualtrics and distributed through Amazon Mechanical Turk. Not all the data aligns, hinting that the perceived personalities of typefaces in isolation might be different from when used in specific website contexts. The findings of this study could give actionable insights for designers, marketers, and brand managers.
