Abstract

Chinese traditional design elements Meditation Augmented Reality
This thesis explores the potential impact of integrating traditional Chinese design elements into augmented reality (AR) meditation applications to improve the mental well-being of software developers in China. By incorporating culturally significant design elements--such as line, shape, form, pattern, texture, and color inspired by Chinese aesthetics like the Dunhuang caisson and traditional calligraphy. A mixed-method research design is employed, combining qualitative and quantitative approaches. This research contributes to the understanding of how AR meditation applications can be adapted to cultural contexts, providing insights into the development of more effective designs for promoting well-being.
