Abstract
The researcher attempted to analyze the current technological landscape as it relates to the rapidly increasing inclusion of artificial intelligence (AI) within the creative workings of soundtracks and audio in movies and television. As AI continues to be an element that is making its way into the entertainment industry, the researcher wanted to get a clear and realistic understanding of the true creative potential of this technology in its current state and how it could possibly affect a multitude of assignments and jobs that have historically been driven by humans. Along with extensive literary research, the researcher conducted knowledge and experience seeking interviews with industry professionals that are highly regarded film composers and music scholars. The goal of this study was to systematically approach the reality of how this particular technology can be implemented within the workflows of the already existing entertainment industry and the affect that it can have on the success or failure of production projects that come from the amateur, independent, and top tier professional levels.
