Abstract

Management Television--Management Stagecraft Theatre Virtual Reality
The television and media industry evolves when innovative technology comes to the forefront. As it does, professionals learn to adapt to these new advances in the industry and see what creative adventure lies ahead. When the COVID-19 pandemic occurred, the industry needed to understand how to get content out quickly, still interact with department pipelines, and now deliver content safely. In the research, the exploration of Industrial Light and Magic's StageCraft was used to seek out possibilities for new ways of expediating content quickly and efficiently without losing the quality, integrity, and collaboration of filmmaking. The study was used to determine how StageCraft and its technology can be implemented as a new model of virtual production and to help create a better carbon footprint for the world. The future of StageCraft can produce a positive outlook for the industry and its leaders who are looking to invest in creative ventures. StageCraft can be economically beneficial to studios looking to cut costs like scouting locations and travel. StageCraft can be a learning experience for professionals trying to interact with other pipelines within the projects as all pipelines work together to get a project running and off the ground.
