Abstract
The integration of custom soundtracks in competitive gaming represents a notable advancement in audio design within the industry. This research investigates the evolution of sound design, emphasizing the shift from basic audio elements to sophisticated adaptive systems that enhance player immersion and emotional engagement. By exploring the impact of player choice in audio selection, the study highlights the significance of personalized auditory experiences in fostering deeper connections to gameplay. Furthermore, the emotional variability of music and its effects on cognitive load and performance metrics are examined, revealing the complex relationship between audio design and player behavior. Employing a mixed methods approach, the findings provide valuable insights for game developers and esports trainers, underscoring the potential of custom soundtracks to optimize player experience and performance in competitive settings.
